  • Overview and Responsibilities

    Purpose of Position and Scope of Responsibility:

    Directs all aspects of designated Connect program(s) to include providing project leadership/oversight, planning, designing implementation strategies, coordination of educational offerings/materials and evaluation/administration of resource utilization/allocation to meet an array of business/clinical objectives. The Program Manager will be responsible for guiding a practice through their implementation of the Baptist Memorial Health Care Community Connect program. S/he will provide relevant documentation to the practice for them to decide whether the program is a fit for implementation, and if so, will coordinate site visits with the rest of the Implementation Team to ensure discovery is completed for system build. The Program Manager will be responsible for maintaining the individual practices project plan for implementation and will work closely with the practice to ensure a successful go-live.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to active participation and leadership on an interdisciplinary project team, development/implementation of diverse business approaches for successful project transition and completion, monitoring project progression, performance and outcomes; identification of system efficiencies; on-going communication/feedback and problem resolution, identifying, developing and coordinating all aspects of implementation for affiliates.  Responsible to work as needed on all shifts and/or weekends as required for project management and implementation.

     

    Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

     

    E     1.    The Program Manager will be responsible for maintaining the individual practices (affiliate) project plan for implementation and ensure due dates are met.

     

    E     2.    Provides system-wide leadership for all aspects of designated project(s) to include planning, development of implementation strategies and project timelines, assessment of business/clinical needs and design of appropriate business approaches to accomplish project objectives. 

     

    E    3.     Participates in technical components of project working in concert with Information Systems project counterpart(s) to include the system build, installation, and the application methodologies. Works in close collaboration with various leadership teams, BOC PMO, Connect Steering Committee, and/or other project team members.

     

    E     4.    Manages affiliate to ensure appropriate standardization of policies, practices and/or system implementation for designated project(s). 

     

    E    5.     Coordinates with BOC Training for the completion of the educational needs assessment and develops, coordinates and executes educational offerings for affiliate staff. 

     

    E     6.    Serves as a key system liaison to ensure project objectives are met on a system, market and/or entity level. Designs improvement strategies, when appropriate, to adequately monitor project progression, performance and outcomes. 

     

    E   7.      Develops, recommends, and/or implements policies/procedures associated with designated project(s) which support standardization, where appropriate, and meet diverse business and/or clinical needs. 

     

    E   8.      Insures contract is signed and initial payments received prior to implementation.

     

    E     9.    Performs related accountabilities/responsibilities as required or directed.

    Qualifications

    Licensure, Registration, Certification

    Bachelor’s Degree.  Preferably in Information Management.   

     

    6 years health care experience in hospital or clinic settings with at least 4 years project management experience and/or supervision.  Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Computer proficiency.

     

    Must possess a valid driver’s license and have the ability to travel throughout the system.
